BIO
Kevin Chalfant
joined 707 on Boardwalk Records as lead vocalist in 1981.
The Megaforce album (and subsequent movie soundtrack
single) screamed up the Billboard charts and landed the
group a Top 20 single that threw the band into a North
American tour.
Chalfant and 707
toured with all of the top touring acts including REO
Speedwagon, Rainbow, Scorpions, Ted Nugent, Loverboy and
many others as a part of the famous “Super Jams of 1982.”
Chalfant would
later enjoy top 10 success at the dawn of the 1990s with one
of the last successful bands of the AOR era,
The Storm. After a hiatus from music in the mid-90s, he has
remained active in solo and group projects (Two
Fires), and has stepped
in as temporary lead vocalist for Journey (1994) and The
Alan Parsons Live Project (2003).
Chalfant has been
an added attraction to the Gregg Rolie live show in recent
years, as well as a valued participant of Jim Peterik’s
World Stage.
